RAFC Patient's Words:
How I Live With My Cancer
by a breast cancer survivor
"Count your blessings. I have lived a good life so far and I still do. I have always food on the table, a roof over my head, and a family (my son) who loves me. And if I die tomorrow, I know that I have had a great life. If you can, try and take a little time to see what you have and what you have experienced. For me, this gives me peace of mind. I just listen to the music that soothes me when I need to relax. I have a few songs in my mp3 player that make me feel great when I gear them. I try to listen to my theme song, "Hawaiian Wedding Song" by Elvis Presley when I'm feeling tired or sad."
